The Adidas Yeezy is a hot sneaker
and already sold out and many are reselling for over 5 times the retail price.
Here are a
few points which will lead you to decipher a fake from real.
Heel-Tab (below left) –
the unauthorized pair of the heel-tab is
placed further away from the ankle collar.
Toe
Stitching (above right) - The black stitching pattern going up
the middle from midsole to the toes is a disaster. The real pair, there is
a clear pattern which looks like an "X" and then a square and it repeats.
Insoles - The insole writing is in white and is unauthorized. On the
real Yeezy it is in black and the words run in the opposite direction on the
fake.
YZY – is
written in huge font on the fake pair and easy to spot.
Trefoil –
The Adidas logo is oversized on the fake one.
Size Tag –
The tag on the fake says sample and is incorrect.
Footbed –
When the insoles are removed you see a black strip in the retail pair going
through the middle and the fake has an exposed stitching.
Box – fake
Yeezys box is completely wrong.
The
tongue of the fake is short, and flimsy on fakes. The real one is sturdy and
longer. If you look at the label SPLY-350 wording, the fake has a curvy shape while
the original is in horizontal alignment. The font and colors differ.
The
back tabs of the original are not that steep. The spacing between the lining
and the white strip is smaller on the real pair and bigger on the fakes. The
gap between the “S” and the pull tab is bigger on the fake. Check out the
pull tab, on the real pair you can see the white strip ends, on the fake pair;
it is beneath the pull tab.
The
toe box has an abrupt cut on the fake and the space between the white strip and
the tip of the toe box is big on the real pair. The tip of toe box looks
slanted on the fake and is horizontal on the real one. The fakes has a light
bone colored sole whereas it pure white on the real pair.
